Climate change

At Rio Tinto Aluminium, we believe we contribute to long term global sustainability by acting responsibly at a local level. 

During 2006, we continued to implement our climte change strategy.  The alumnium industry is a contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions, therefore we have a responsibility to improve our energy efficiency and look at innovative solutions that contribute towards addressing this global issue.
