Local communities
Rio Tinto Aluminium operates in five communities throughout Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, where we conduct our mining, refining and smelting activities.
We are committed to building a sustainable future with our neighbours through mutually beneficial partnerships and programmes. Our operations have established community relations programmes to ensure ongoing business priorities remain relevant and consistent with those of the communities within which we operate. All managed operations work within their five year community plans, linking community programmes to business outcomes.
